ABOUT LASP-BA

About us
Lasp-Ba (Academic League of Public Health of Bahia) is an autonomous entity, formed by academics of health courses, with its own statute. It has collaborators and advisors who are part of its advisory board. Students are committed to the development of multidisciplinary activities and deepening knowledge in collective/public health.

How did it come about?
The league emerged from the interest of some academics from the Nursing course at Bahiana in deepening their knowledge about collective health. This idea soon turned into the desire to create a league where knowledge on this topic could be discussed, explored and disseminated, both by the academic and non-academic communities. It was necessary to join forces and diverse knowledge, therefore, it was necessary to engage other health courses in this endeavor, when, then, professors from different areas were invited, thus giving rise to the formation of the league.

Who can participate?
The league is for those who love collective health! It is for those who want to actively change the current scenario. It's for those who want to turn that desire into action! If you are an academic in the area of health and human sciences, are interested in collective/public health, are somehow involved with this topic, want to acquire and share knowledge, not only among members of the league but from the entire community, congratulations : you can be part of LASP-BA!
