Bahiana has just won the Judo vice-championship at the Bahia University Games (JUBA) 2010. The tournament took place on September 04th, on the mat of the Faculty of Technology and Science (FTC), in Paralela. Our School was represented by student athletes Virgílio Barreto (Medicine), in the Light category; Ezra Herculano (Psychology), Medium mild; and Danilo Augusto (Physiotherapy) Medium Light. All received a bronze medal, granting the Bahiana second place by teams.

Held annually by the Bahia University Sports Federation (FUBE), JUBA aims to promote the integration and sports development of university students. In addition, the initiative accredits champion athletes and teams to participate in the Brazilian University Games (JUBS).

This year, JUBA was held between September 04th and 07th and involved university students from all over the state, bringing together 13 institutions that competed in seven sports.
