Inaugural class of the first Bahia Academic League of Palliative Care (LABCP)

On July 30, 2010 at 8:30 am, the inaugural class of the first class took place in auditorium 2 of the Cabula campus. Bahia Academic League of Palliative Care (LABCP). The event that marks the birth of an innovative initiative of undergraduates in Nursing from BAHIANA, with the participation of students, health professionals, professors and members of the Bahia Academic League for the Study of Pain (LABED).

With the main theme Palliative Care: a new perspective, the League brought as lecturers Doctor Avany Maia and Nurse Mirian Rodrigues from the Home Care Service of Hospital Aristides Maltez addressing "Palliative Care and Home Care". Also participating in this event were Prof. M. Maria de Lourdes (Coordinator of the Nursing Course) and Juliana Amaral (Advisor at LABCP) who gave the lecture on "Ethical issues in caring for people without therapeutic possibilities".
