Bahiana is present at the WebSummit in Lisbon

The Superintendent of Institutional Relations of the Bahiana, prof. Dr. Diego Menezes represented the institution at the WebSummit, which took place in Lisbon, between November 13th and 16th. The event, which brought together around 70 thousand people from 153 countries, has been taking place since 2009 and is Europe's largest technology conference.

Diego Menezes was part of the delegation of 31 Brazilians who had support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with some members of the group representing the country as speakers. "This immersion has made it possible to follow global trends in different areas of knowledge, especially health education, which is our area of ​​activity. We are paying a lot of attention to understanding the trends of the professional of the future, that is, skills and abilities that are being required for these professionals to work worldwide", highlighted Menezes.

According to the superintendent, throughout its 70 years of existence, the Bahiana is nationally recognized not only as a school of medicine and public health, but also as an institution that develops research and innovation, "as we understand that, together, they make up the formative pillars of an individual". Diego Menezes highlighted that the Bahiana will be present in other editions of the event. "We will be attentive to bringing to our students, teachers and collaborators what the world is developing", he stated.
