Bahiana welcomes graduate students of 2023.2

"Academic Life: the protagonism of the student". This was the subject of the traditional reception for freshmen, known officially as "New from Bahiana", which took place last Friday morning, July 28, with a live broadcast on the institution's official YouTube channel. The large audience comprised of students, professors and coordinators of Biomedicine, Physical Education, Nursing , Physiotherapy, Medicine, Psychology and Dentistry was welcomed by the coordinator of People Development, Luiza Ribeiro, and by the coordinator of the Psychopedagogical Attention Nucleus (NAPP), Angélica Mendes.

Representing the coordinators of all graduation groups of the Bahiana, the coordinator of the Common Nucleus, Prof. Dr. Luciana Oliveira, welcomed the institution's new academics. "Stay with us from now on and understand that Bahiana it is a listening place, you have several open channels to listen to you", said the professor to the students present at the meeting. Understanding the university space composed of teaching, research and extension, Psychology students Rodrigo Mendonça and Laura Costa presented the Youth Care Center – CAJU, an action that constitutes a Care Community for innovation and the development of light care technologies in the context of promoting the mental health of young people in the city of Salvador.

The program also had a presentation by the Institutional Relationship and Internationalization Center of Bahiana (REAI), carried out by its manager, Antonieta Araújo. "Mobility in Bahiana it's something very organic and participatory, as it has the care of many sectors", she explained. As an artistic moment, a video was broadcast with the musical performance of Psychology student Camila Coelho and the poetic interpretation of Gabriel Nabuco, also a Psychology student .
