A School Bahiana received, last Wednesday (24/05), 3rd year high school students from Colégio Oficina for a visit to the Cabula campus, within the program of the Bahiana for one day.

The group made up of 14 students began activities in the Microscopy Laboratory, with a demonstration of blood typing coordinated by the leading biomedical scientist, Emily Figueiredo. The Physical Education course was presented by Professor Roque Sanches, at the Sports Sciences Laboratory and, afterwards, the group had a meeting with the Physiotherapy course teacher, Rachel Trinchão, at the Skills Laboratory. The students also visited the Dental Center of Bahiana conducted by the unit manager, Lísia Oliveira. The Myths and Truths about Psychology activity enabled a debate about the profession that was coordinated by Professor Amanda Gama. The visit ended with a presentation of the Morfofuncional Laboratory, under the coordination of academic monitors from the Medicine course.

The manager of the Institutional Relationship Nucleus of Bahiana (Relaci), Fabiana Perin, explains that the conception of Bahiana for one day is intended to help students choose their profession. “We thought the project Bahiana for one day so that the student can live a university experience in practice, having contact with the professors and knowing the structure of the Bahiana”. For the student at Colégio Oficina, Francine Abdon Nunes, the visit makes it possible to clarify possible doubts about the profession to be chosen. “I came here to research, get more information and what I'm really interested in is the Psychology course”, reports the student.
