XXII MCC registrations are converted into donations

Reaffirming its commitment to social responsibility, the Scientific and Cultural Exhibition of Bahiana, whose 22nd edition took place remotely on the 21st and 22nd of October 2022, allocated the amount collected by the participants' registrations for the purchase of whole powdered milk, which was donated to institutions that develop assistance and reception activities for vulnerable populations . The delivery took place on April 13, as part of the Delivery Day schedule, an initiative that takes place every two months, based on the donation of hygiene materials, home cleaning, clothes and food to philanthropic institutions. The materials are collected in events and campaigns of the Bahiana.

The following entities were contemplated: Lar Vida, an institution that currently houses more than 100 children, adolescents and adults with various disabilities, ranging in age from 0 to 44 years; Lar Pérolas de Cristo, a non-profit NGO that offers shelter to children and adolescents away from family life; and the HTLV Center at Bahiana, whose benefit was offered to children aged 3 and 4 years.

In all, 110 kilos of powdered whole milk were donated. The coordinator of the XXII Scientific and Cultural Exhibition of the Bahiana, Prof. Lavínia Boaventura Silva Martins, and member of the Student Committee Paulo Gustavo Bispo Pereira.
