Bahiana wins new Materials and Sterilization Center (CME)

The new Materials and Sterilization Center at Bahiana (CME) has a new face. After improvements and expansion works, the unit increased from 74,40 m² to 200,06 m². Located on Campus Cabula, attached to the Dental Center, the CME is where the entire process of maintenance and cleaning of the instruments used by academics and professors of the Dentistry course at Bahiana, corresponding to all health surveillance standards.

In addition to the building renovation, new equipment was acquired for the sterilization process, such as autoclaves (laboratory equipment that performs the sterilization process), inspection magnifier and machinery for performing the ultrasonic washing.

The entire reform aimed to make the health security process of the Dental Center of Bahiana, promoting more security for academics' learning and patient care.
