Nursing Journey - History
The Nursing Journey of Bahiana is an annual event held in May, with the objective of commemorating the Nursing Week and discussing topics of scientific, cultural and political relevance in the academic and permanent training of nursing students and professionals. This year, with the social distancing recommended as a measure of prevention and control of contagion by COVID-19, it was not possible for the institution to hold the Conference in face-to-face format. However, the Nursing Coordination and the Organizing Committee chose to maintain the event, even in another period. "We saw that the current scenario has provided the use of digital tools to keep up-to-date and connect with what has been happening in our area. Thus, the idea of an interactive digital event arose", explains Marilaine. "The themes emerged from this 'new moment' we are living in: digital education", he points out.

The Jornada coordinator highlights the good feedback from the participants who expressed their satisfaction at the end of the event through speeches and messages in the web conference chat. "We believe that it was also a mobilizing event in the sense of belonging, where students were able to strengthen their identity with their profession and with the institution. Persisting in holding the event meant a lot to all of us, since nursing is resilience and determination", stands out.
