2nd Inova+Saúde Award extends enrollments until February 18th

Applications for the 2nd Inova+Saúde Award were extended until February 18th. Launched in November last year, the award aims to disseminate the culture of entrepreneurship and innovation in Bahia, stimulating the development of new talents with innovative potential in the health area. The result of the award will be announced at the 2nd National Meeting of Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Health – ENEIS, which will take place from March 19 to 21, at Campus Cabula da Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública.

Rule
Teams with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 5 members can participate in the award, including at least one student regularly enrolled in one of the undergraduate or graduate courses (stricto sensu) of the Bahiana and a faculty advisor also linked to one of the institution's undergraduate or graduate courses. All team members must be domiciled in the state of Bahia.

Challenge
In this second edition, Inova+Saúde presents to the contestants for the award three challenges proposed by the units Hospital Cárdio Pulmonar, Pain Therapy Clinic and Hospital Português. The idea is that the scientific and academic community of Bahiana, in collaboration with other educational and research institutions (SENAI CIMATEC, UNEB and others), propose solutions, which will be evaluated and judged as to their innovative and differentiating potential in relation to what already exists in the market. For this, participants will be able to schedule technical visits to the three units, in order to better understand the reality of the challenge presented by each one. History
The Inova+Saúde Award is an initiative of Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública, with the sponsorship of Santander Universities. In its second edition, the award also has a partnership with the State University of Bahia (UNEB), the National Service for Industrial Learning (SENAI CIMATEC), the Hospital Cárdio Pulmonar, the Hospital Português and the Pain Therapy Clinic.

In the first edition, the award included five winners for each of the categories: "Technologies to support the diagnosis, treatment or prevention of diseases" and "Technologies to support professional education or health management". Awards with trophy and financial recognition were given to the first three places, in the values ​​of 3 thousand, 2 thousand and 1 thousand reais, in both categories. The other winners received a certificate. In all, 25 projects were registered.
