For Fábio Vilas-Boas, Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) have a transforming role in health management, being the key element to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in health and well-being, “this includes the transformation of health systems into universal ones, which meets the proposal of the World Health Organization”.

Adélia Pinheiro highlights that SECTI has strategies to promote broadband so that it is available to the healthcare area. “It is through access to technology that the science ecosystem can advance, and the health sector is included in this scenario”, he pointed out. In addition, the secretary draws attention to the fact that technology is not an undergraduate discipline but a tool that one learns to handle in practice. “On behalf of SECTI, we are happy to be part of this moment”, he concluded.

“The biggest gain from this event was, in fact, the realization of all the discussions, in the form of refined proposals, which culminated in the commitment of these institutions. This signature is a guarantee for the work to begin to be developed and really bring results to the Bahian population", points out Atson Fernandes, highlighting the important initiative of the NTI manager, Cláudio Santos, "which he brought to the Bahiana important discussions about the demands for investment in digital health and its impact on the public health system, allowing the true democratization of health for our population”.
