Scientific diversity marks the fifth edition of the Biomedicine Fair
The event had several stands on the performance of the biomedical

To present the biomedical areas of activity and show the versatility of the health research field. This was the proposal of the fifth edition of the Biomedicine Fair, which took place on July 31, at Campus Cabula da Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública. The event, organized by the students of the Biomedicine course, had stands on biomaging, aesthetic biomedicine, clinical analysis, acupuncture and research.

Gabriel Queiroz, Biomedicine professor and event coordinator, explained how the event was built. “We chose the four main areas of biomedical work to exhibit. Our objective is to show the variety of our area in health and, with this, to cultivate an environment of scientific development. This is the fifth year of our fair and it is gratifying to carry out this work, as well as to see how Biomedicine students engage in this meeting”.

The event stands were presented by the students, where they explained what constituted each area of the biomedical field of action. The second semester student of Biomedicine, Eduarda Leal, was responsible for clarifying how the activity of bioimaging works. “It is very important for our academic training to know our entire professional area. In biomaging, we can work with radiography and we need to know how to identify that image and which didactics to use in the work”.

The technology was in evidence at the fair. the students of Bahiana developed an application in which it was possible to know all areas of Biomedicine with just one click. This demonstration generated a lot of excitement in the audience. Third-year high school student at the Social Service for Industry, Regional Department of Bahia (SESI), Lilian Fonseca, expressed her joy in participating in the event. “I found out about the fair through Instagram and called all my friends to follow me. I'm loving it and today I discovered that the area of biomaging is the one that interests me the most”.
