Conference

A brief history of professional master's programs was the starting point of the speech by guest professor Márcea Andrade Sales. She also pointed out all the steps that a master's student must develop along their academic journey. "The professional modality of research is necessarily involved with practice, which results in social insertion. The research needs to be developed within society, that is, the professional modality is necessarily social intervention, it is the applicability of the project and its continuity in a community," emphasized the speaker.

She also emphasizes that the difference between the academic and the professional modality lies in the fact that the former deals with the theoretical review and production of new research sources. "The professional master's, in addition to 'drinking from this source', produces a differentiated source and it, necessarily, has to have applicability".

Coordinations

In their speeches, the program coordinators emphasized the challenge of joining these courses, given the current political and economic context in the country. "We are going through a very difficult time, but we need to reinvent ourselves, stimulating creativity to try to bring alternatives not only for the survival of the program, but to qualify the program. We want the level to grow more and more. So the new ones students must develop a concrete product that impacts society and that modifies and transforms the lives of other people, because there is no point in having a product that stays on the shelf".

Still in the morning shift, there was the workshop "Media and Interactivity" with Professor José Roberto and in the afternoon it was the turn of the workshop "Intellectual Property: mechanisms for protecting innovations", with Professor Fernanda Ferraz.
