Bahiana supports awareness-raising action on Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis - ALS

The 2nd Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Awareness Walk and Chair will take place on June 16, at 10 am.

On June 16, at 10 am, the 8nd Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Awareness Walk and Chair will take place simultaneously in 2 cities in Brazil. In Salvador, the action will take place on Avenida Professor Magalhães Neto, with the support of Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública. The initiative is organized by the Brazilian Association of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis – ABrELA, a non-profit civil society organization.

The disease, which is degenerative, affects the nervous system, which causes progressive and irreversible motor paralysis, in a limiting way, being one of the most feared diseases known. Therefore, the walk aims to promote debate and information about ALS.
