Currently, Patrícia Carvalho occupies the 3rd place in the national ranking. Her next competitions will be held on June 1st, at the National Open, in Sergipe, and on June 15th and 16th, at the Bahia Karate Championship, in Salvador, and the athlete must have a high score in the ranking to win a place for the Tokyo Olympics in 2020.

"Thanks to Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública and to Sport Web Brasil for believing in my potential, dedication and perseverance", declares the athlete.

For the coordinator of the Physical Education course, prof. Clarcson Placido, the benefits that Bahiana offers for Physical Education students enable them to also be able to dedicate themselves as athletes to high performance sports with the prospect of achieving good results. "Patrícia, in particular, is an athlete with national and international recognition and, for our course, there is also the possibility of learning through her experiences in all these years of competition. This also reinforces issues related to teaching, research and to extension, because she is a very participative athlete in the academic context and makes us all the time to manage new ideas through dialogues for new possibilities."
