Joy, interaction and union marked the 2nd edition of GINBAH, the Gymkhana da Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública. The event, which is promoted by students and professors of the Medicine course, took place on the day April 27, from 8:17 am to 30:XNUMX pm, at Campus Cabula, for Medicine freshmen. The Gymkhana was attended and supported by the professor and coordinator of People Development, Luiza Ribeiro, the professor of Medicine André Zimmermann and the coordinator of the Common Nucleus, Luciana Oliveira, in addition to the professor and coordinator of the morphofunctional laboratory at Bahiana, Suzana Araujo.

First semester students participated in the different tests in the morning, from 8:30 am to 11:30 am, and in the afternoon, from 13:17 pm to 30:XNUMX pm. The teams were divided into four colors: azul – “The tycoons”; Verde – “Kryptonite”; red – “X”; and yellow – “Lipids”. To fulfill the tasks, students put into practice knowledge related to the curricular components Biomorphofunctional I and First Aid.

Among the challenges proposed in the morning was the “Treasure Hunt”, with the objective of improving skills related to interpersonal interaction and citizenship. In the “GINBAH Circuit”, the teams developed, in a playful and integrative way, the curricular components Biomorphofunctional I and First Aid. The “Mistakes Game” made it possible for theoretical knowledge to be put into practice in a simulated environment. The “Proof of 9” involved completing tasks in a short period of time.

During the afternoon, participants not only exposed the why of each name of the teams but also presented mascots characterized with recyclable materials and the battle cries in the task “School Bahiana of Fine Arts!”. In Auditorium I, the judges: Luciana Oliveira (Common Nucleus), Guia Lélis (student's mother), Venandra Andrade (doctor, former student of the Bahiana), Andrea Gonçalves (responsible for the cafeterias at Bahiana) and Angélica Mendes (NAPP manager), evaluated the following items: creativity, animation, mascot characterization and content of the battle cry. Then, in the challenge “My parents are first responders!”, the teams recorded a video clip reproducing a classic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation scene from a movie, soap opera or series. In this test, the participation of a student's father or mother in reproduction was mandatory. The judges analyzed duration and reliability regarding the setting and costumes.

The “Parodia do Conhecimento” was based on the exhibition of parodies on themes of Biomorphofunctional I and First Aid, freely chosen by the teams, as long as both themes were covered in the lyrics. The judges scored the songs, taking into account the contemplation of themes, organization, creativity and animation. For the "The Last Passenger!" Team members were asked multiple choice questions. Finally, in the “GINBAH Cup”, strength and speed set the tone for the competition between the teams in the six proposed stages. Still referring to these activities, on April 10, at 13:30 pm, in room S08 of Pavilion II, there will be the presentation and evaluation of two more extra tests.

The first semester student of the Medicine course and member of the yellow team, Mateus Araújo de Souza, says that the fact that the activity provides insight and learning in a playful way, “based on the subjects that are seen in the classroom, it is very significant”. Rafael Lélis, seventh semester of Medicine and monitor at GINBAH, reveals that actions of this nature are beneficial to everyone, especially monitors, due to the integration and development of competences, as these members “prepare questions, plan materials and structure actions ”.

The professor and coordinator of the morphofunctional laboratory at Bahiana, Suzana Araújo, elucidates the purpose of GINBAH: 'Provide the learning of contents aimed at the conduct of first aid, human anatomy and physiology, in a playful and pertinent way'. Suzana also highlights the importance of the Gymkhana in encouraging not only interaction and union among students, but also social awareness, since 'the collection of groceries was one of the main actions developed'. At the time, in addition to the tests in honor of Suzana Araújo, there was also the inauguration of the new name of the morphofunctional laboratory, which was renamed “Morphofunctional Laboratory Prof. Maria Suzana Vasconcelos de Araújo. "
