Marist College Patamares participates in the Bahiana For one day

The Program provided academic and professional guidance to high school students.

The last edition of 2018 of the Program Bahiana Por Um Dia had the participation of students from Colégio Marista Patamares, on October 31st. The program was divided by knowledge area, in order to facilitate professional guidance and contact with the academic environment of the Bahiana of the Cabula Campus.

The action began at 14:10 pm and ended at 17 pm, covering activities related to courses in Physiotherapy, Medicine, Dentistry, Physical Education, Nursing, Biomedicine and Psychology.

To present the Medicine course, the monitors from the Morphofunctional Science group exposed the Morphofunctional Laboratory according to the evolution of the curricular components. The initiative was guided by professor Suzana Araújo. The supervisor of the group, student Beatriz Gedeon Cubilhas, reports that having graduated from Colégio Marista, it was very gratifying to participate in the activity, “the Bahiana welcomed me and I am proud to be part of this house”.

     
In order to demonstrate the practices of the Physiotherapy course, some methods of Osteopathy were exemplified in room 01 (S01) of Pavilion III. The person responsible for this stage was Professor João Amaro. In Dentistry, the nursing supervisor of the Dental Center at Bahiana, Miriam Macêdo, explained the functioning and structure of the Center.

In the Laboratory for the Study of Movement / Skills in Physical Education, the routine of the Laboratory in Sport Science was elucidated by Professor João Franco. Students were also able to understand the procedures involving cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in the Nursing Laboratory, with the course coordinator, Professor Simone Passos. The activities related to Biomedicine were applied in the Microscopy Laboratory, by Professor Adalardo Carneiro.

Former student and psychologist, Laissa Liguori, mediated the activity “Myths and Truths about Psychology”, in room 08 (S08) of Pavilion III. For her, the moment allows students to solve their doubts and choose their professional future more correctly. Therefore, student Hanna Carvalho, 17, explains how important the initiative was in the decision of the course she intends to take. Likewise, Amanda Castro, 18, observed, upon understanding the structure of the Bahiana, which had been directed to the area in which it is interested.
