Conversation Rounds, workshops and short courses are part of the MCC program at Bahiana

Integrating the programming of the XVIII Scientific and Cultural Exhibition which took place on October 3rd and 4th, 2018, at the Cabula campus, the Dean of Extension of Bahiana realized V Extension Show and workshops and short courses from XV Scientific Initiation Journey (PIBIC).

V Extension Show
During the programming of the V Extension Exhibition, which took place on October 3, from 14:30 pm to 18:XNUMX pm, in pavilion III, works by students and graduates of the Bahiana who participate in the institution's outreach projects.

In this way, MCC visitors were able to participate in the “Histórias de shard of glass” sessions, by Paula Pereira; “Craniomadibular with Postoperative Emphasis”, by Caroline Landim Machado; “The Group Viver Melhor as a Hiperdia Strategy: experience report”, by Cláudio Luiz Júnior; “Pilates method applied to an elderly person with cerebrovascular accident: experience report”, by Darcton Aguiar; “Welcome as a gateway to the Physiotherapy Service”, by Ellen Caroline Santos and “When existence becomes meaningless: challenges in the practice of psychologists facing suicide in Primary Health Care”, by Fernanda Macedo.

The work “Use of Gamification in the teaching of Immunology for undergraduates in Medicine: an experience report” by Marcus Lima was also part of the conversation round schedule; “'Even if the chest is silent, the head remains': challenges in the care of subjects with Serious Mental Disorders by psychologists in Primary Care”, by Milena Azevedo; “Perception on the influence of Jiu-Jitsu on citizenship education”, by Rebecca Albuquerque; "Quality of Life Program in Bahiana”, by Robson Santana and “Hand in hand we will build the health we want”, by Stephanie Santos. Eleven themes are counted in all.

XV Scientific Initiation Journey (PIBIC)
The XV Scientific Initiation Journey (PIBIC), held on October 4, from 14 pm to 18 pm, covered the workshops: “Applications of New Generation Sequencing for Molecular Studies”, coordinated by professor Luciane Santos; “Emotional regulation and mindfulness as mental health promotion strategies”, coordinated by professor Gustavo Siquara; “Coexistence technologies: ethics, sexualities and genders”, coordinated by professor Anna Amélia de Faria and psychologist Raíssa Alves; “Communication of difficult news in health: a realistic simulation”, coordinated by psychologists Isabela Cristina Santos and Doranice Brawne; “Bibliographic Management Program – Mendeley”, coordinated by Professor Marcus Vinicius Santana; and “Yoga – a path to self-knowledge”, coordinated by professor Rosana Politano.

Minicourses
The short courses explained in the Jornada were: “Biomorphology Applied to Trauma”, given by Professor Maria Suzana de Araújo; “Principles of Endocrinology Applied to the Clinic”, given by Professor Rogério Sampaio; and “Functional Assessment of the Elderly”, given by physiotherapists Igor Pinheiro and Marcela Freitas.

For the biomedic at the Teaching Laboratory and former student at the house, Indira Ayma, it is extremely important to have the opportunity to experience these activities, because in this way, it is possible to express opinions and reflect on important issues in the health area.
