Paralympic athlete sponsored by Bahiana is the fifth best in the world in rowing competition

Renê Pereira is from the Brazilian Rowing Team and a former student of the Bahiana.

Another moment of victory and accomplishment. For the second consecutive year, para-athlete Renê Pereira, former student of Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública, is classified in the grand final, among the six finalists of the Senior Rowing World Cup. The championship took place in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, between September 09th and 16th, 2018.

     
Athlete Renê Pereira tells how it felt to win this award and obtain another achievement in his career: “The 5th best in the world once again, with a taste of wanting more, as he missed fourth place at the very end. , for less than 01 second. Happy with my participation and calm in knowing that a lot can be done in pursuit of evolution. My goals and plans are developing exactly as I planned and this gives me the confidence that I am on the right path”.
     
About the projects for next year, Renê Pereira explains his aspirations for professional life: “The 2019 World Cup will qualify for the Tokyo Olympics, and I confess that the plans are already much more ambitious and I have no doubts that I will succeed. The big secret, when you want something, is to seek self-knowledge, understand the difficulties, create strategies and have the resilience to proceed”.
