Coordinator of the Physical Education course at Bahiana visit Esporte Clube Vitória stadium

Teaching, health and sport... these are the three pillars around the partnership between the Physical Education undergraduate course at Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública and the Judo team of Esporte Clube Vitória. This union was reaffirmed last Sunday (05), when Clarcson Plácido, coordinator and professor of the Physical Education course at Bahiana, and Maicon França, coach of Vitória's Judo team, met at the Manoel Barradas Stadium, where the brand of Bahiana will soon appear as one of the partnerships of the Bahian team.

During the meeting, Professor Clarkson told how the collaboration between the two institutions was developed. “This project was conceived in partnership with Vitória's Olympic Sports Department, in order to unite two major brands, which are: “Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública” and “Esporte Clube Vitória”. The context of this partnership involves providing support to athletes in Olympic sports, specifically judo,” he said.

Coach Maicon França explained how the athletes of the judo team will benefit from this partnership: “The Bahiana it will offer structure, scholarships for the athletes and all the support from the physiotherapy technical team, for the training of our athletes”.

This partnership will also feature the participation of students from Bahiana. “All judo athletes will, at some point, be evaluated and monitored by our students from the Physical Education course”, explained Clarcson.
