Viver Melhor Group - Extension Program

Provide a more relaxed and relaxing environment for Grupo Viver Melhor patients. This is the purpose of the bimonthly events held by the members of the extension project “Cuidar Faz Bem – Ambulatório Hiperdia”, from Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública. The last meeting took place on June 19, at Campus Cabula, and featured dynamic activities, such as bingo and a conversation circle about the origins of June festivals. The event was organized by the members of the Hiperdia Ambulatory, who are students from the Bahiana, together with professors from the institution, who also coordinate the project.
Nursing professor and coordinator of Hiperdia, Claudete Dantas, declares that, at the end of the semester, the initiative always proposes a different activity: “This time, I chose Cabula for us to meet, as it is a place that has plenty of outdoor space. . The June theme of the meeting was decided with the patients, as we wanted to have a moment of integration, without focusing on talking about diseases”.
Regarding the experience of patients at the event, Claudete Dantas tells how they interacted in the actions: “They really enjoyed the activities and got actively involved. It was very interesting. We have patients who came from the countryside just to participate in this meeting”.
