International Symposium on Evidence-Based Medicine

The Graduate Program of Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública, through the Center for Evidence-Based Medicine and in partnership with the Choosing Wisely Brasil movement, on July 20, starting at 8:30 am, the International Symposium on Evidence-Based Medicine, at the institution's Campus Cabula (Av. Silveira Martins, n. 3386, Cabula). The event, open to the public, is aimed at teachers in the area of ​​health, health professionals and hospitals in Salvador. Registration can now be made on site, from 8 am.


Agenda
The program will feature a lecture by the professor and coordinator of the Center for Evidence-Based Medicine at Bahiana, the member of Choosing Wisely Brasil, Luis Cláudio Correia, and with the participation of the guest speaker, physician Aseem Malhotra, a consultant cardiologist at the National Health Service of the United Kingdom (NHS). The roundtable will also be composed of professors from the Bahiana: Ana Marice Ladeia, coordinator of the Master's and Doctoral Program in Medicine and Human Health, Marcus Almeida, coordinator of the Master's Program in Health Technologies, and Marta Menezes, coordinator of the Telemedicine and Telehealth Center and the Computer Technologist course in health of Bahiana.

Dr Aseem Malhotra is a member of the Board of Directors of The King's Fund, which is a charitable organization working to improve health in England. All topics explained at the meeting will focus on Evidence-Based Clinical Medicine.
