Bahiana holds the second edition of the Seminar in the Material and Sterilization Center

"Innovations in the Work Process" will be the theme of the II Seminar in Material and Sterilization Center promoted by Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública. The meeting, which has an initiative focused on the exchange of knowledge, counts on the participation of professionals from excellent hospital organizations in Brazil, such as the Hospital Sírio-Libanês. The event takes place on August 24th and 25th, at the Auditorium II of Campus Cabula da Bahiana. Enrollments vary between R$40,00 and R$100,00 and can be made at institution website.

The seminar is aimed at nurses, students and nursing technicians and was planned by the Specialization course in Nursing in Surgical Center (CC), Anesthetic Recovery (RA) and Material and Sterilization Center. This event is an opportunity to reflect and debate the research and extension of the health area, in addition to sharing information about professional practices.

The program brings two invited speakers to the participants: the researcher, from the University of São Paulo (USP), Kazuko Graziano, who will address the processing of health products, centered on microbiological aspects and guidelines for good practices; and the nurse and coordinator of the Material and Sterilization Center (CME) of the Hospital Sírio-Libanês, Larissa Cavassin, speaking about sharing practical actions in the areas of cleaning and preparation, from the perspective of complexity and peculiarities of the CME.
