Students from Colégio São Paulo participate in the Bahiana for one day
Students know the academic environment and infrastructure of the Bahiana

On June 6, students from Colégio São Paulo participated in the program Bahiana for one day. The program covered different areas of knowledge, with 20-minute presentations for each undergraduate course at the institution. The objective of the initiative is to provide high school students with professional guidance and contact with the academic environment and infrastructure of the Bahiana.
The program's script began with the presentation of the Morphofunctional Laboratory of the Medicine course by the monitors of the Multifunctional Sciences Group, under the coordination of Professor Suzana Araújo.
The Physiotherapy activity was carried out by Professor Bruno Góes and students from the academic leagues Laforte (Academic League of Sports Physiotherapy) and LAND (Academic League of Neurodynamics). There was also an exhibition at the Dental Center of Bahiana by the administrative supervisor Lísia Barreto.
In the Laboratory for the Study of Movement (Skills Laboratory) in Physical Education, the routine of working in sports science was exemplified. Professor Clárcson Plácido was responsible for the practice.
Also in the Skills Laboratory, exercises involving cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) were demonstrated. Professor Ronesca Santana Dias, from the Nursing course, was the preceptor of the initiative.
The professor and coordinator of the Psychology course, Sylvia Barreto, mediated the activity “Myths and Truth about Psychology”. In the Microscopy Laboratory, it was possible to carry out tasks related to the field of biomedicine, with Professor Adalardo Carneiro.
O Bahiana for a day aims to provide information about the courses at Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública to secondary education institutions. The last edition took place with the students of Colégio Gregor Mendel, on May 9th.
