The event was organized by the Collegiate of Medicine of the Federal University of Vale do São Francisco (Univasf) and aimed to address strategies for introducing active methodologies in the field of health and to integrate medical schools in the Northeast.

Iêda Aleluia participated as a guest in the roundtable which had the theme “Portfolio”, alongside Prof. Rosângela Minardi (UFV) and Prof. Fernanda Soares (UNIVASF), and also participated in the roundtable discussion on the Assessment Exercise Clinic (Mini-CEX).

“It was a pleasure to have been invited to participate as a speaker in this event, which was the first event in the Northeast. I, as a teacher at Bahiana, a school that is marked by innovations, attention to teacher development and improvements in educational practices, aiming at better training for both its teacher and its student”, says Iêda Aleluia, who is also a member of the Institutional Development Program teacher of Bahiana (PROIDD).

The teacher also highlighted the moment as enriching: “It was a very good exchange of experiences and knowledge. So, it was a pleasure to be there and a pleasure to represent the Bahiana”. She also highlighted the importance of the congress, which took place in a pioneering manner in Bahia: "Being together with people from all over the Northeast and also with fellow speakers who came from the Southeast, was very rich."

Active methodologies, a central theme of Fonemas' approach, are teaching methods that aim to provide students with autonomy, turning the teacher into a mediator in the classroom.
