Bahiana for a day | State Platform College

On April 25th, there was another edition of the program Bahiana for one day. This time, with students from Colégio Estadual Plataforma. The program was divided by knowledge area, in order to provide high school students with professional guidance and contact with the academic environment of the Bahiana, in addition to presenting the institution's infrastructure.

The script of activities began with an experiment in electrotherapy, a neurological physiotherapy activity coordinated by the professor of the Physiotherapy course, Bruno Góes.

To present the Psychology course to visitors, professor and coordinator Sylvia Barreto mediated the activity “Myths and Truths about Psychology”.

In Dentistry, the administrative supervisor of the Dental Center, Lísia Oliveira, presented the Dental Center of Bahiana. In addition, there was a visit to the Morphofunctional Laboratory guided by the Medicine monitors.

In the Nursing laboratory, students were able to learn and participate in practices involving Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), with Professor Ronesca Santana Dias. In the Microscopy and Skills laboratories, it was possible to carry out activities related to the fields of Biomedicine, with Professor Adalardo Carneiro, and Physical Education, under the guidance of Professor Paulo Rodrigo Santos Aristides.

O Bahiana for a day began its activities on April 4, with the visit of students from Colégio Resgate, from Brotas, to Campus Cabula so that they could have academic experiences and, since then, it seeks to offer information about the courses of the Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública to high school institutions.
