23/10 - Inauguration of the statue in honor of Professor Humberto de Castro Lima

The late Professor Humberto de Castro Lima received a posthumous tribute on the evening of October 23, 2009, Friday, given by friends, relatives and colleagues from the Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública and the Foundation Bahiana for Science Development.

The meeting took place in the gardens of the General Coordination, in Brotas, and among other actions, a life-size bronze statue of the honoree was inaugurated.

Among others, the director of the Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública, Maria Luísa Carvalho Soliani, the chairman of the Board of FBDC, Jacques Salah and the plastic artist Márcia Magno, author of the sculpture.
