Bahiana presents analysis of PROSEF 2010.1 for High School Institutions.

A delicious afternoon tea took place on April 29, not in Wonderland, but in Praça dos Borboleguins, at the Cabula Academic Unit, under the shade of mango trees and the half light of the sunset. This unusual climate and fabulous environment that reminded the fantastic story of Alice, character of the English writer Lewis Carroll, marked the meeting between the Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública, directors, teachers, advisors and pedagogical coordinators of secondary schools in Salvador and the Metropolitan Region and the direction and technical team of Consultec.

Among teas, chocolates, coffees and juices, the get-together opened the meeting that aimed to participate to the high school teaching community in the success achieved by Bahiana with the implementation of the Training Selection Process (PROSEF), since 2009.1. Created to share the guidelines of the Institution's Political Pedagogical Project (PPPI), which values ​​the training of a humanistic health professional, with a critical, ethical, socially responsible sense and capable of creating new solutions according to each situation and patient, the model is unique in Brazil.

After the playful moment, the participants went to Auditorium 1 of the Convention Center of that Academic Unit. the director of Bahiana, Dr. Maria Luísa Carvalho Soliani, started the program by presenting the PPPI. “If we want to train a health professional with a critical, supportive and humanist vision, we saw that the entrance exam should be in the same way”, declared Dr. Maria Luísa, who then explained how the process is carried out.

As guests, coordinators of undergraduate and graduate courses from the Bahiana and teachers, directors and pedagogues from Colégios Colunas, Anchieta, Anglo Brasileiro, Gregor Mendel, Mercês, Modulo, Oficina, Portinari, Salesiano Dom Bosco, São Paulo, Vila Lobos, Vitoria Régia, ISBA and Sagrado Coração de Jesus, and from Cursinhos Gregor Mendel and Module.

The meeting made it possible for high school teachers to express their doubts and make suggestions for the continuous improvement of the process, a necessary action, since this is an unprecedented, unprecedented initiative.

"This is a differentiated process, very rich and that has added a lot of knowledge to us", declared the partner and technical director of Consultec, Adelaide Rezende, who, together with Dr. Maria Luísa Soliani, from the People Development Coordinator at Bahiana, Luiza Ribeiro, and the manager of Educational Projects at Concultec, Profa.
