For the second time Clinical Laboratory of Bahiana receives the ISO9001

The Clinical Laboratory of the Medical Center of Bahiana receives, for the second consecutive time, the ISO9001 certification in recognition of the quality and safety of the services offered to patients.

The Quality Management Nucleus, under the coordination of Luciana Branco, conducted actions to comply with the new requirements of the ISO 9001 Standard, in its 2015 version, receiving the recommendation of Det Norske Veritas Certifications BV with the certificate issued in January 2018 .

The first recognition took place in June 2014 and integrates the processes of human resources, information technology, budget and performance, purchasing, warehouse and equipment maintenance, expanding, in compliance with the new ISO requirements, to the management of strategic planning, risk management and the process approach.

According to Márcia Moreira, manager of the clinical laboratory, what contributed to this recognition was the maturity and engagement of the entire team in quality management, reflecting on the safety of laboratory processes and the quality of the reports issued. The recertification of the Clinical Laboratory of Bahiana it is another important achievement of the institution in the constant search for excellence.
