BAHIANA HEADQUARTERS REGIONAL HEALTH SURVEILLANCE SCHEDULE WORKSHOPS

A Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública is hosting, until this Thursday (08), the Macro-regional Workshops for the Program of Health Surveillance Actions (PAVS), for the Eastern Macro-region, encompassing Salvador and 47 other municipalities. The activities, which began on Tuesday and will end today at 17 pm, are taking place at the Cabula Academic Unit and are aimed at municipal health managers, reference technicians in epidemiological surveillance, sanitary surveillance, worker health and primary care municipalities and the Health Department of the State of Bahia (Sesab). 
 
A Health Surveillance Action Schedule it is an important planning instrument for the management of the National Health Surveillance System, which guides the expenses of the financial ceiling for health surveillance in the country and for strengthening actions in the area. In addition, it is an instrument for the reduction of health indicators, especially those that cover the health of workers, women, children, the elderly and men.

The Macro-Regional Health Surveillance Action Programming Workshops take place annually and are intended to analyze the health situation in each state, in addition to discussing strategies for the implementation of public health actions for the following year.
