ACADEMIC UNIT BROTAS GETS NEW SECURITY SYSTEM

Dear Student, Employee and Teacher of Bahiana,

We hope that this new year will be full of news and achievements, bringing peace, prosperity and success to all. It is with this spirit of renewal that the Bahiana will have more safety devices.

As of February 03, at the Academic Unit of Brotas, the access turnstile to pavilion III and the access turnstile to the teachers' parking lot will already be installed. Throughout 2010, all access to the pavilions and parking lots of this Academic Unit will be made through electronic turnstiles, to be progressively installed.

The entrance of students, professors and employees will be through optical identification. In the case of students, the bar code is engraved on the Student Identification Card (the same used for access to libraries), received when enrolling, and which has been available since 2006. In turn, teachers and employees of Bahiana will be identified using the bar code on their functional badge.

This initiative is part of the security program that began to be implemented in 2009, when identification cards were distributed to students, employees and professors for access to the parking lots of the three Academic Units. Later, access to other Academic Units will also be made through turnstiles.

NEW MEMBERS OF BAHIANA

New students will receive the Student Identification Card, free of charge, when enrolling. Those who do not have an identification card, due to loss or damage, must request it at the secretariat of their course, by paying the fee for making the document.

Employees and teachers who are still without the new functional identification badge of the Bahiana they must go to the Personnel Sector to carry out their preparation. To make it even easier, in each Academic Unit, for a week (on a date to be communicated later), the School will provide a special structure for teachers.

We count on everyone's support and understanding.

Happy 2010!

The direction.
