NOTICE OF THE INSTITUTIONAL PROGRAM FOR JUNIOR SCIENTIFIC INITIATION SCHOLARSHIPS FAPESB/ CNPq/ SCHOOL BAHIANA OF MEDICINE AND PUBLIC HEALTH

  1. PRESENTATION

 

FAPESB and Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública make this Public Notice public for the presentation of research project proposals aiming at the selection of high school students from Public Schools as PIBIC Jr /EBMSP/ FAPESB / CNPq scholarship holders.

Junior Scientific Initiation Scholarships – IC JR are intended for high school students regularly enrolled, for the development of research initiation activities which must be supervised by an experienced researcher.

 

 

  1. PROGRAM PURPOSE

 

Awaken a scientific vocation, through the participation of students from the Public Network in research activities, encouraging potential talents and providing students with the opportunity to expand their knowledge.

 

  1. NUMBER/VALUE OF SCHOLARSHIPS

 

15 Junior Scientific Initiation Scholarships (IC-JR) will be awarded in the amount of R$ 100,00 (One hundred reais), with financial resources from CNPq, for a period of twelve (12) months, not exceeding the regular time, of the course of middle level.

 

 

  1. REQUIREMENTS

 

   4.1 Candidate

 

  1. a) Be regularly enrolled in the 1st or 2nd year of Public School and be willing to participate in research activities carried out by qualified teachers;
  2. b) Not having an employment relationship and/or being a beneficiary
  3. c) Have school attendance equal to or greater than 80% (eighty percent);
  4. d) Have a register of FAPESB researcher
  5. e) Present school history

 

      4.2 From the Advisor

 

  1. a) Be a teacher linked to BAHIANA with a minimum workload of 30 hours and hold at least a master's degree or equivalent scientific profile and demonstrate experience in research, cultural, artistic, or technological development activities;
  2. b) Be part of the research group of and registered in the Directory of Research Groups of CNPq;
  3. c) Have professional production published in specialized magazines, books, book chapters, annals of scientific meetings, exhibitions;
  4. d) Have a Researcher registration at FAPESB
  5. e) Have an up-to-date curriculum on the Lattes Platform.

 

 

  1. THE SELECTION PROCESS

 

    5.1 REGISTRATION          

  

      5.1.1 Location: Pedagogical Secretariat of Unit 01 of the School Bahiana of Medicine and Public Health - Nazaré Academic Unit Protocol

               Period: 06/11/2009 to 20/11/2009

               Hours: from 8 am to 17 pm.

 

      5.1.2 Required Documents

 

  1. a) student's academic record;
  2. b) proof of CPF and RG
  3. c) school attendance certificate;
  4. d) application form completed by the candidate
  5. e) curriculum of the supervisor researcher registered and updated on the Lattes Platform;
  6. f) advisor's research project and student work plan.

    

    5.2 OF THE SELECTION 

   

    To select the proposals, a committee with at least 3 (three) members from different areas of knowledge must be composed: life sciences, exact and earth sciences and human and social sciences. Its members must have:

  1. a) link with a teaching or research institution
  2. b) research experience
  3. c) minimum doctoral degree or equivalent profile; and
  4. d) updated curriculum on the Lattes Platform.

 

    5.3 CALENDAR  

 

     Registration Period: 06 to 20/11/2009

Selection: 23/27 to 11/2009/XNUMX

       Disclosure: The results will be released: 02/12/2009

       Reconsideration Requests: (period); 03/04/12

       Implementation of Scholarships: 01/03/2010

 

 

  1. RESPONSIBILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

     6.1 Scholarship

 

  1. a) Execute the approved work plan, under the supervision of the supervisor, with a dedication of at least eight (08) hours per week, and in the publications and papers presented, reference must also be made to their status as a CNPq/FAPESB scholarship holder.

 

  1. b) Present the research results in a Partial and Final Technical Report (Fapesb model, available on the portal), and in the form of oral presentation/panels, at the Annual Scientific Initiation Seminars promoted by the institution.

 

  1. c) Return to CNPq, in updated values, the monthly fee(s) received

improperly, if the established requirements and commitments are not fulfilled.

 

       6.2 From the Advisor

 

  1. a) Guide the fellow(s) in the different phases of scientific work, including the preparation of reports and material for the presentation of results in Scientific Initiation Seminars.;
  2. b) Adopt all measures involving special ethical or legal permits and authorizations necessary for carrying out the activities;
  3. c) Be present in the oral, partial and annual evaluations made by the scholarship holder(s) and during the presentation at the Scientific Initiation Seminar;

     

     6.3 Of the Institution

  1. a) Disclose with the supervisors their attributions and responsibilities contained in this Notice;
  2. b) Require proof of enrollment for the year 2010 of the scholarship holder who had his/her scholarship implemented.

 

 

 

  1. SCHOLARSHIP IMPLEMENTATION REQUIREMENTS

 

 

    7.1 The scholarship holder must complete the Researcher's On-Line Register (www.fapesb.ba.gov.br) and provide bank details of the Banco do Brasil checking account or savings account, within the requested period;

 

    7.2 Deliver a copy of the CPF, RG and Proof of Enrollment for the year 2010, within the established deadline;

 

7.3 The scholarship holder must have an updated resume on the Lattes Platform and electronic address, e-mail;

 

    7.4 The advisor professor must complete, for each approved scholarship holder, the online form of the FAPESB Scholarship Program, modality IC Júnior, available at www.fapesb.ba.gov.br.

 

 

  1. MONITORING AND EVALUATION

 

8.1 There are 2 (two) types of Report:

 

  

      8.1.1 Partial Technical Report – sent in the seventh month of the scholarship's validity to the respective Institution, the latter must send an Institutional Report to Fapesb that contains the list of current scholarship holders in alphabetical order, with their respective APPROVED or FAILED opinions. Scholars replaced during this period must be present in a separate list, also, in alphabetical order and with due opinions.

 

         8.1.2 Final Technical Report – sent within 60 days after the expiration date. The institution must send an Institutional Report accompanied by the individual reports of its fellows, in alphabetical order and with the appropriate APPROVED or FAILED opinions. Replaced scholarship holders follow the same procedure mentioned in the Partial Technical report.

 

 

 

  1. ADDITIONAL PROVISIONS

 

  9.1 – The nomination of candidates to carry out indirect activities, such as administrative or operational support, is prohibited.

 

   9.2 – At the request of the supervisor and/or the institution carrying out the activities, the scholarship holder may be substituted in the same project, once, until the end of the period of validity of the scholarship, provided that it is duly justified.

 

    9.3 - CNPq and FAPESB are not responsible for any physical or mental damage caused to the institution's junior scientific initiation scholarship holder employed in the execution of their research or extension activities

 

   9.4 – It is recommended, as far as possible, the involvement of high school or professional teachers in the execution of the students' work plan, under the supervision of the supervising researcher.
