According to the coordinator of Bahianescer and professor of the Nursing course, Rosicleide A. Freitas Machado, the specific objective of this meeting was to work on life projects and discuss the insertion of young people in universities. "On the occasion, we shared the possible access routes to our School as FIES, Enem, PROSAE, PROSEF and FUNDACRED, so that they can envision the possibility of being part of our Bahiana".

On the occasion, the adolescents participated in the discussion, clearing up doubts about what a university is, what they expect from higher education, what they project for their careers, access routes, quota system, ENEM. "It was impressive to be able to perceive that the information exchanged contemplated their desire to discuss this theme", says Rosicleide.

Bahianescence

The Bahianescer extension program aims to offer academics from Bahiana the opportunity to have a practical experience in the community, articulated with the expanded concept of health in an interprofessional way, as well as the training of health multipliers linked to the development of youth protagonism. "We work in partnership with the amateur theater group Adolescer com Arte from the Mata Escura community. In the meetings, active methodologies are used, such as conversation circles. The themes worked with the teenagers are agreed upon at the end of each semester to start the close in a collective way, that is, with the participation of teachers, students, teenagers", explains the coordinator of Bahianescer.

According to the professor, this year the themes “teamwork”, “prejudice and gender”, “transsexuality” and “the university we have and the one we want” were developed. All meetings are held in the community, only the last one takes place in the Bahiana to close the semester's activities.

Professors Andreia Batista Lima, Ana Maria Cruz, Aide Nunes and João Franco are also part of the faculty participating in Bahianescer.
