November 11 - National Tinnitus Awareness Day

Bahiana alerts you to the symptom and its possible causes.

Share

Tinnitus is the perception of sounds in the absence of a physical sound source.

It is a symptom, not a disease. It can be caused by numerous factors, such as partial hearing loss, anatomical and myofunctional conditions of the face and dental arch, posture, chemical and metabolic factors associated with diseases, blood disorders and nutrition.

If you suffer or know someone with this problem, meet the PAZ - Support Program for Patients with Hyperacusis and Tinnitus, an innovative action offered to society by the Medical Center of Bahiana Health. The service is offered through the SUS and is coordinated by its creator, the otorhinolaryngologist Dr. Clarice Saba, a national reference on the subject.
