III Life Cycle Development Journey

Share

A III Life Cycle Development Journey of the Psychology course of Bahiana which took place on October 20, at the Academic Unit Brotas, brought as a theme: DCV Show your face! The meeting brought together students and tutors from all CVDs in order to present an overview of the work developed in the curricular components of Life Cycle Development, in order to propose interdisciplinarity and the sharing of knowledge.

The coordinator of the Psychology course, Sylvia Barreto, highlights that the journey brings together experiences of students from different semesters to exchange experiences. "We are here to summarize the experience from DCV I to DCV VI, because we work with the our object of study, which is the human being throughout its life cycle, from conception to aging".

Anabela Queiroz, coordinator of the journey, points out that the design of the event was carried out according to the PBL methodology and, therefore, built collectively, with intense student participation. So, it was decided that each curricular component of Life Cycle Development would present its experience. "What we are seeing here is a work that greatly facilitates interdisciplinarity because each one is showing his face. And what was going to be presented was decided in the meetings of each DCV between the tutors and their students". The teacher explains that students from different semesters were gathered in groups, and the participants should only have already gone through the CVD. "We have boarding students, students from the 7th to the 9th semesters".

Sylvia Barreto reaffirmed the importance of the PBL methodology that enables events such as the journey to be held. "We are living in a moment in which psychology has been discussed, thought and articulated through the modality of distance learning and one of the arguments we have that sets us apart is the active methodology, that is, PBL and other methodologies ensure that our the course is in person, because it is inadmissible to think about teaching psychology at a distance."

The program included the presentation of the following works: DCVI "Reflections on PBL from the narratives of Psychology students", with tutors Carla Sampaio and Grace Rosa; DCV II "Practice with babies and young children: experience report", with tutors Andrea Diniz and Izabella Queiroz; DCV III "I threw the "stick" at school: listening to children in the school environment, with tutor Edna Bittelbrunn; DCV IV "Adolescence, a singular rite of passage: from where to where?, with tutors Anabela Queiroz and Fábio Giórgio; DCV V "Adults' world: the experience with mobilizing themes in tutoring, with Leda Lessa and Ubton Nascimento as tutors and the DCV VI with the theme "Death and life in Severina: the journey of the life cycle under analysis, with tutors Márcia Siebel and Milena Lisbon.
