Postgraduate, Research and Extension Coordination offers courses in various areas of health

The Coordination of Postgraduate Research and Extension of the Bahiana registration is open for several specialization courses (Lato sensu), in the areas of Dentistry, Psychology, Nursing, Medicine, Biomedicine, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy. Among the various courses offered by the Coordination, is the training in Acupuncture. The course is open to healthcare professionals who wish to use the oriental technique for therapeutic purposes. Another course offered to health professionals from different areas is the specialization in Lacanian Orientation Psychoanalysis Therapy.
Psychology graduates are being offered courses in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy and Adult Brief Psychotherapy. Those interested in specializing in the field of Biomedicine can take courses in Molecular Biology, Bioimaging, Clinical Immunology, Microbiology Applied to Health and Oncotic Cytology.
The Dentistry center is offering vacancies for the courses of Buco-Maxillo-Facial Surgery and Traumatology, Periodontics with Initiation in Implantology, Specialization in Dental Prosthesis and Improvement in Prosthodontics over Implant.
Nursing professionals who wish to expand their skills can enroll in the Nursing in Stomatherapy course: Stomas, Wounds and Incontinence. In addition, the Graduate Nursing Center is also open for enrollment for specialization in Occupational Nursing.
Professionals graduated in Physiotherapy, on the other hand, can take the Hospital Physiotherapy course. This specialization is made up of subjects with practical and theoretical contents, taught under the supervision of qualified teachers, with clinical and scientific experience, in different areas of knowledge. The activities are carried out in the Intensive Care Units and Infirmaries of Hospital Santa Izabel.
Physiotherapists, occupational therapists, physical educators, biodoctors, engineers, physicians and related graduate professionals can enroll in the Biomechanics Spatialization course. The objective is to deepen the knowledge in Oncotic Cytology, promoting the improvement in the training of professionals in Cytopathological Analysis.
Also open to graduated health professionals, the Public Health course with Concentration in Sanitary Surveillance is being offered. The objective is to qualify professionals in the health and related areas to work in health surveillance, as well as to improve the performance of organizations that supply products and services related to the control of health surveillance, aiming to comply with technical standards and the development of good practices in the context of the Unified Health System and the labor market.
