Program Bahiana for a Day welcomes students from Colégio Batista Brasileiro

The visit provided an experience of the institution's academic routine.

On September 27, the Cabula Academic Unit received a group of high school students from Colégio Batista in another edition of the program Bahiana for a Day. The program aims to support the work of professional guidance in secondary schools, providing students with information about the courses offered by Bahiana and contact with the institution's academic environment.

On that occasion, the students visited the Morphofunctional Laboratory where the monitors from the Morphofunctional Sciences Group presented the curricular components developed in the laboratory. Then, accompanied by the technical supervisor of the Dental Center of the Bahiana, Lisia Oliveira, students can experience the activities of Dentistry students developed in the health unit.

     
Under the coordination of the professor of the Physiotherapy course, Bruno Góes, and academics from the Academic Leagues of Bahia for the Study of Pain (Labed) and Hospital Physiotherapy (LAFIH), the students experimented with electrotherapy, in addition to watching the presentation of the different types of application of Physiotherapy.

A game of myths and truths applied by the Psychology teacher Carolina Aguiar clarified doubts about the course and the practice of the profession. Then, the visitors went to the Skills Laboratory, where first aid activities were carried out, led by Professor Luana Bonfim, from the Nursing course.

The visit allowed the students to also get to know biotechnology activities, assisted by the professor of the Biomedicine course Thessika Hialla and the Movement Study Laboratory, where they had contact with the routine of the Science in Sports laboratory with the coordinator of the Physical Education course, Clarcson Placid.
