Share

The specialization course in Nursing in Intensive Care and High Complexity of Bahiana promoted, on the morning of September 30, the Seminar on Safety Culture and Health Risk Management. The event involved undergraduate, graduate and health professionals with the aim of promoting scientific discussion on the implementation of a line of care for comprehensive health care.

The program began with the conference "Strategies for implementing a culture of safety in health", with the nurse of Hospital São Rafael, Margareth Trabuco.

The roundtable "Experiences in implementing a risk management model in different areas of health care" was the highlight of the event, as it featured the presentation of experiences reported by nurses Katiane Andrade, from Cardio Pulmonar, Indaiane Abad, from Hospital Roberto Santos and Eliane Simoni, from Hospital Aliança.

"This seminar closes the last module of the 6th class of the specialization course in Intensive Care and High Complexity and its objective was, in addition to sensitizing and provoking reflection, to bring to these professionals who are leaving specialists the vision of the culture of quality and safety", explains Prof. Carolina Pedroza, coordinator of the course and dean of Extension of the Bahiana. According to her, those who are leaving a graduate course in intensive care will need to develop skills aimed at exercising a culture of safety and quality. "This is now the path of every health service. Not only those who are looking for accreditation, but those who are really looking for quality and differentiate themselves in the health market."

The course is co-coordinated by Prof. Simone Passos.
