Medical students from Bahiana receive Top Ten award at the XI Congress on Asthma and VII Brazilian Congress on COPD and Tobacco

Medicine students and PIBIC scholarship holders from Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública, Airton Hiago Menezes Prudêncio, Marco André Moraes Sales Filho and Priscila Cunha de Carvalho received the TOP TEN award for best work presented at the XI Asthma Congress e VII Brazilian Congress on COPD and Smoking, carried out by the Brazilian Society of Pulmonology and Tisiology from August 2 to 5, in Fortaleza, Ceará.


Students were selected from 10 of the 250 papers presented at the congress and the award-winning study entitled "The FEV3/FVC ratio in the diagnosis of airway obstruction: an accuracy study" was carried out within the Medical Center of Bahiana (Bahiana Health) and at the Pneumology Outpatient Clinic of Hospital Geral Roberto Santos, under the guidance of the Professor of Medicine at Bahiana Achilles Camelie.
