Registration is open for the 2nd edition of "MUSA - University Music Festival of Salvador"

Undergraduate and graduate students who wish to show their talents in the art of music must register by September 17 to participate in the 2nd edition of the “MUSA – University Music Festival of Salvador” project. The project takes place on October 14th and 15th, at Parque da Cidade, and is a realization of the Strategic Cultural Actions Center of the City Hall of Salvador.

The festival will distribute 22 thousand reais in prizes. The first, second and third places will be awarded in the categories Music, Male Performer, Female Performer, Instrumentalist and Band, in addition to a visual artist.

MUSE PROJECT
MUSA is a university festival that aims to promote musical production among young people, propose a space for the exchange of artistic ideas and invest in renovating movements. Marked by the lack of commitment to market rules and pre-established concepts, the festivals nurture aesthetic daring and provide irreverent moments of artistic effervescence.

1st edition
In its 1st edition, the project had the participation of 277 university students. Awarded in the Music category and also as a male interpreter, Tassiro Leal, an academic from Faculdade Social da Bahia. Also in the Music category, Igor Liberato from the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) took 2nd place, and João Gabriel Rezende, from the Popular Music Faculty of UFBA, took 3rd place. In the Band category, the band OLIBERATO from UFBA was awarded. Luiza Brito, from the UFBA School of Music, received the award for Female Interpreter, Rodrigo Lucas Chamusca from the UFBA Law School was awarded in the Arrangement category, Priscila Gabriele, also from the UFBA School of Music, received the award for best Instrumentalist and Neiva Rodrigues from the Faculty of Fine Arts-UFBA was awarded the Designer Trophy MUSA category.
