Bahiana for a day receives students from Colégio Anchieta

Students toured the School's facilities and had the opportunity to learn a little more about the courses.

On Wednesday, August 9, the Bahiana received the 3rd year students of Colégio Anchieta in another edition of Bahiana for a Day, at the Cabula Academic Unit.

On the occasion, the students paid a visit to the Morphofunctional Laboratory where the monitors of the Morphofunctional Sciences Group and Prof. Suzana Araujo made the presentation of the laboratory and the Dental Center of the Bahiana presented by the technical supervisor Lisia Oliveira. Throughout the day, students were also able to do activities related to electrotherapy and neurological physiotherapy, assisted by the professor of the Physiotherapy course Bruno Góes and by the Academic Leagues of Neurodynamics and Study of Pain and had a class on myths and truths with the coordinator of the course. Psychology, Sylvia Barreto. In addition to getting to know the Microscopy Laboratory, assisted by the professor of the Biomedicine course, Vanessa Brito, they also visited the Movement Study Laboratory, where they had the opportunity to learn about their routine, accompanied by the coordinator of the Physical Education course, Clarcson Plácido.

For Marilia Galvão, advisor at Colégio Anchieta, the work that the Bahiana develops for students. “It is essential, as it is a way to enable students to have more information and live the experience they will have after high school, in other words, this connection between high school and higher education is extremely important”, he says.

     
"I really liked this program because I have many questions about what to attend and knowing the academic environment and having access to the functioning of all courses, I found it fantastic because I decide between doing Engineering or Medicine", reports the 3rd year student at the College. Anchieta Mariana Moreno who loved to experience a day of academic life itself.

Sylvia Barreto, coordinator of the Psychology course, reports that it is important for students to get to know the academic environment while they are leaving high school. "The choice of profession, the lifetime of 17 and 18 years, is a moment that can generate anguish, doubts, anxiety and coming to know a higher education institution and the pedagogical proposals of each course provide a certain comfort for this student" .

The student of the Physiotherapy course at Bahiana concludes that it is a very enriching experience for students who still have doubts about which profession to pursue after high school. “All colleges should have this program, as it guides students about which course they most identify with.
