Opening class: First Aid 2017.2

The Nursing course of Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública promoted the Troca Potente, on the 27th of July, at the Cabula Academic Unit. The action marked the inaugural class of the First Aid discipline coordinated by the professor of the Nursing course at Bahiana Daiane Burgos, in partnership with graduates and Partner Nurses of the CONSAT company (Consultancy in Occupational Health), Jaddy Kelly Matheus Alves and Ticiana Assemany Cruz.

The activity involved students from the 2nd to the 7th semester and monitors from the First Aid League (LAPS) and the Emergency Nursing League (L2E) who developed interactive actions aimed at freshmen in the Nursing course.

On that occasion, the 1st semester students were able to witness simulations of polytrauma victims with fractures and were invited to act in practice and raise awareness of the importance of first aid.
