BAHIANA DEPLOYS WIRELESS SERVICE FOR STUDENTS FROM THE THREE CAMPIS

In line with the changes taking place in the contemporary world, the Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública already offers, in its three campus, free internet access via wireless terminals. This technology, present in universities and colleges around the world, uses radio waves to connect the computer to the network, avoiding the need for cables. This is another initiative of the Technology team at Bahiana and aims to provide more comfort and practicality in sharing knowledge by the academic community. 

Initially, the service is working with an access area in each of the three Fields, but the project foresees expansions. There will be three access areas in Brotas, three in Cabula and two in Nazareth. Each area allows 50 simultaneous accesses. Information regarding the access location, passwords and computer configuration are available at the secretariats of the Campus. At this time, there is no need to register.

Bahiana, institution Member of an academic community focused on medical science, by installing instruments for easy access to the world network, it will contribute to the dissemination and exchange of technical and scientific knowledge, a preponderant role of the institution.
