On July 29, another module of the Training and Technical Improvement Course for Judo black belt examination took place at the Cabula Academic Unit Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública. The course, which runs from April until September, is a partnership between the school and the Federation Bahiana of Judo (FEBAJU).

The partnership was formed through the coordinator of the Physical Education course at Bahiana, Clárcson Plácido, together with the president of FEBAJU, Marcelo Ornelas.

The teacher of the Physical Education course at Bahiana and coordinator of the initial modules of the improvement course, João Franco Lima, reports that the course aims to ensure safety and technical quality in Judo practice environments, whether for the purpose of education, leisure, training of athletes or health promotion and improved quality of life.

"This was an important step to strengthen the relationship of Bahiana with Judo and, in the next group, the participation of students from the Physical Education course is expected”, he points out.

The biologist and brown belt judoka, Washington Tavechio, says that the course is very broad and includes an overview of human and scientific structure, as well as all the part dedicated to Judo. "The partnership of Bahiana Congratulations with FEBAJU for providing us with this course with such an important structure for us judo athletes”.

The systems analyst and also a brown belt in judo, Jober Bertani, highlighted the innovative character of the course. “The methodologies used are very relevant. It is a pioneer course and it surpassed all my expectations”.
