Another step was taken towards the creation of a collaborative health network with the visit of the EBMSP to the Telemedicine Discipline of the Faculty of Medicine (FM) of USP. The visitors, who signed a scientific cooperation agreement between the School and the Faculty of Medicine, got to know the Telehealth Project, the Virtual Man, the Educational Communication Design group and held a video conference with the Telemedicine Innovation Center (CIPS ).

They are interested in developing projects involving technology and education at EBMSP and being part of the health collaboration network that is being created by the various Telemedicine projects. Visitor Maria Luisa Cardoso really liked the initiatives of the Discipline of Telemedicine and believes that the exchange of experiences in this area is very important. “Telemedicine is not a distant thing, it is a reality that we need to take to the population”, he said.

The group from Bahia was composed of the coordinator of the institution's medicine course, Marta Silva Menezes; the coordinator of the Educational Technologies Development Center (CETE_EBMSP), Antonio Carlos Costa; by the coordinator of the boarding school, Maria Conceição Galvão Sampaio; by the pedagogical supervisor of the boarding school, Maria Luisa Cardoso; and by the student of the 4th year of medicine, Marília Menezes Gusmão. They learned about Telemedicine at a medical education congress, in which the head of the Discipline, Chao Lung Wen, gave a lecture, presenting the concepts of Telemedicine and Telehealth in Salvador.

Maria Conceição said that the visit was important to serve as a reference for projects in Telemedicine that the institution intends to develop: “In this visit we were able to have a global vision of the concept of Telemedicine that will guide us in our initiatives”, believes the doctor.

The coordinator of the medicine course, Marta, said that what most impressed her during the visit was the collaboration between Telemedicina and its partners: “Telemedicina wants to share what it is producing and we are very interested in this partnership,” she said.
Professor Antônio Carlos, coordinator of the EBMSP Educational Technologies Development Center also found the visit very productive: “The development of our Technology Center is just beginning, but I believe that the support offered by FMUSP's Telemedicine will be essential for success of this nucleus”, he concluded. and employees of the Hospital das Clínicas Complex (HC - FMUSP) .
