Medical academics participate in NEPA's IV Roundtable 2017

Bariatric and metabolic surgery will be the theme of the program.

On August 17, from 19:21 pm to XNUMX:XNUMX pm, medical students from the Bahiana will have the opportunity to participate in the IV Roundtable of 2017 of the Nucleus of Teaching and Research in Anatomy (NEPA). The event will be held at the Academic Unit Brotas and the topic addressed will be “Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery”.

The program will discuss several themes about bariatric surgery, such as the anatomy of the stomach, jejunum and ileum, linked to the discussion about indications, types of approach, as well as postoperative care and possible complications during the surgical procedure.

The event will feature the participation of the head of the Brazilian College of Digestive Surgery, teaching coordinator of NEPA and Biomorphology I, II and the Practical Course on Pre-HGE Medical Emergencies of the Bahiana, Dr. Rinaldo Antunes Barros.
