NEPA holds the V Roundtable of 2017

The Center for Teaching and Research in Anatomy (NEPA) of Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública holds, on October 26, from 19 pm, its V Roundtable of 2017, at the Academic Unit Brotas.

The event will feature the participation of a specialist in plastic surgery from the University Hospital Professor Edgar Santos (HUPES), a specialist member of the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery (SBCP) and adjunct professor of Applied Anatomy at the Bahiana, Dr. Thais Fagundes Barreto.

On that occasion, medical students from Salvador will have the opportunity to participate in the program whose theme is “Breast Reconstruction Surgery”. During the activities, topics on the anatomy of the rib cage and axillary lymph node chain will be addressed, linked to the discussion about the indications, types of approach, as well as postoperative care and possible complications of breast reconstruction surgery.
