The event will bring together students and health professionals who work to promote breastfeeding. With the theme "Breastfeeding as you've never seen it", the journey aims to strengthen the promotion of exclusive breastfeeding in the first six months of life, highlight the importance of the support network around the mother and baby, empowering the team safe and effective multiprofessional for breastfeeding success.

The program will be divided into seven modules with the themes: Anatomy/Mastology/Plastic Surgery; Nutrition/Nutrology/Public Health; Obstetrics/Pediatrics; Psychology/Nursing/Coaching; Neonatology/Physiotherapy/Speech Therapy; Mastology/Pediatrics/Speech Therapy/Sleep Medicine/Mastology/Pediatrics/Psychology. 250 vacancies will be made available.

The Golden August is a movement proposed since 2015 with approval in the Senate in 2017, which involves all actions that promote adequate and timely healthy eating habits for the well-being of children, from birth to two years of life or more , as well as strengthening support for women who breastfeed and feed their baby. The golden ribbon was the symbol chosen to represent the gold standard of quality in breast milk.

Breastfeeding meets all the needs of the mother and child. It has specific properties that make it the most complete food to promote child growth and development, protection against infectious diseases, sudden death syndrome, insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus, cancer, allergy, etc. Among the maternal advantages, personal fulfillment, more time available for the baby, increased emotional bond, contraception and reduced risk of breast cancer stand out.
