Bahiana holds II Symposium in the Surgical Center and the Material and Sterilization Center

The Specialization Course in Nursing in Surgical Center (CC), Anesthetic Recovery (RA) and Material and Sterilization Center (CME) of Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública, promotes, on August 25th and 26th, at the Cabula Academic Unit, the II Symposium of Bahiana in the Surgical Center (CC) and the Material and Sterilization Center (CME), whose debate will address Patient Safety and Quality of Care.

The program is aimed at undergraduate Nursing students, nurses, nursing assistants and technicians, other health professionals and will include the participation of important researchers in the area such as Dr. Kazuko Uchikawa Graziano (University of São Paulo), João Francisco Possari (São Paulo State Cancer Institute – ICESP) and Giovana Abrahão de Araújo Moriya (Albert Einstein Israeli Hospital).

Guest speakers will discuss specific topics in promoting safe and quality nursing care in the perioperative period and in the processing of materials used in health care, considering the complexity, specificity and importance of the surgical environment and the material and sterilization center (CME ). Patient safety, quality of care and safety culture will also be discussed.

The event is also an opportunity to disseminate, reflect and discuss teaching, research and extension, in addition to sharing practices, providing debate with various social actors (professors, students and health professionals).
