June 5 - World Environment Day

Data highlights the need to preserve natural resources and biodiversity.

In 1972, during the Stockholm Conference, the United Nations instituted World Environment Day.

Celebrated on June 5, the date has as its main objective to draw the attention of all spheres of the population to environmental problems and the importance of preserving natural resources that were considered by many to be inexhaustible.

The health of the environment is everyone's responsibility and involves changing attitudes, in addition to creating and complying with agreements and laws to protect biodiversity and natural resources.
